All of my athletes use the Grassroots to Champions Ankle Buzzer to remind them how important it is for them to get their feet together in the air. It is a fun way for them to practice the basics of jumping. They all enjoy using it — even my highest level elite athletes!

I just wanted to let you know how much my son, David, and I enjoyed the seminar. I felt like I learned a lot and I know that David felt like he learned a lot. He came home and showed his Dad the H, D, H, big toe to big toe. He realized how important it was and already feels like he has made some improvements. We appreciate your time. Hope to see you in Raleigh again sometime in the future!

Thank you — your seminars were wonderful. I have been going to these conferences for the last 5 years, and usually you hear the main speaker talk about their techniques and you stand there thinking "My technique is the same — I'm doing pretty good." However your outlook was somewhat different. I have been trying most of your techniques with my students and it works!! Thank you for spending the time to come up with a technique that has evolved just as the sport has.

I had such a fun time at Grassroots to Champions on Sunday. I came home Sunday night and practiced my axel on Mon. and Tues. (My coach was still down in Fairfax.) She came back on Wed. morning and I landed my axel for the first time, using what I had learned and she used what she had learned with you at the seminar. Thank you soooooooo very much.

My daughter, Kay, and I attended your seminar this weekend. I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed it. I was impressed by your ability to communicate with skaters of all levels, and it was wonderful to hear someone take the time to discuss issues about the sport with parents. I loved your statements about the reasons to skate, beyond making the Olympic team. Please tell Nick and Ross that Kay especially enjoyed working with them. It is obvious, since Kay landed her axel, that a session with Nick was just what she needed to finally land the jump. She told me this morning that she knew that she could do it because he kept telling her "she could do it." Kay also told me how fun it was to work with Ross. Thanks again for the fun, productive and well organized weekend.

My daughter Kristen thoroughly enjoyed the day and was truly inspired by both you and Nick. Thank you for all your efforts and time, and a wonderful seminar.

Thank you Audrey and Nick for providing a seminar that lays out a systematic jump technique formula. By diligently following the ground work provided in your May 2003 Grassroots to Champion Seminar, one of my students achieved the five pack triple set (and her double axel) in less than two years. The combination of "h" and "d" exercises, off ice harness work, on ice Pole work, and Dartfish software helped me become a more technically proficient coach.

Darin Hosier, Former Competitive Student and Current Coaching Student of Audrey Weisiger

I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in a Grassroots to Champions seminar. The knowledge I gained from Audrey and Nick have changed the way I train. I was introduced to several new tools including the Pole harness and the "h" and "d" exercises, which have proven to be conducive to my success in becoming a National level skater.

Chrissy Hughes, 2006 Novice National Competitor

Thank you for bringing G2C to Midland last week. Our skaters have really benefited from the technique and excitement that you brought to our club. Almost all of my students have been skating for three years or less and are in the most critical stages of their development. Your alignment techniques have given me a better system for teaching my kids the body awareness needed to accomplish these skills. Thanks for sharing your time with us!

I just want to thank you and your staff for a wonderful day!! My daughter, Brandy Huss, has been trying for over 4 years to do an axel and gone to the Indiana World Skating Academy, Bowling Green, and several jump clinic and camps and I thought it was a jump she would never do. We were at a quitting point until Sunday, when you and your wonderful staff gave her confidence again. She landed 3 axels which gave her the biggest smile I’ve seen in the past 4 years, it brought tears to my eyes. Then you giving Brandy that special pin made it extra special. I cannot thank you enough!! Your methods are awesome and should be taught by all coaches. Again, thank you!

My daughter, Jodi, had a great day and was worn out when I got her home, which is an accomplishment in itself. Everyone associated with this seminar had a productive day including the parents.

My daughter and I recently attended one of your seminars in Midland, MI. It was a wonderful seminar and one of the rinks where my daughter skates is interested in hosting one of your seminars.

Hi Sheila,
My daughter Grace Kaplow took the Grassroots seminar in Houston and had a private lesson with you afterwards. You had asked us to let you know when she landed her first axel. Today was the day! Grace landed an Axel and then proceeded to land 12 more. Thank you so much for all your help with this jump!

Thank you Audrey for helping Leah with her skating and off-ice conditioning. It helped her greatly!

In Peoria, AZ and I just wanted to say how fantastic I thought the entire day was. It was extremely helpful and you all did an outstanding job. Rachel was able to get a lesson with Nick, which she was quite pleased with. I can't say enough about the knowledge and professionalism of all your staff members and how much we appreciated your being there. Thanks again.

I wanted to thank you for your time and attention at the G2C Seminar in Youngstown. Since returning home with my cords I have seen a marked improvement in my student's abilities to recognize when they are not in the proper positions. That awareness makes both my and their task easier! We went to a competition this past weekend and before their names were called I simply said, "Skate with your cords, and push". They immediately struck the correct posture and off they went. Thank you for developing this inexpensive and functional tool.

I am sad to see you guys leave. It was our pleasure to have Sheila, Audrey and Chris at our rink. It was great meeting you and working with you as a coach. I will tell everyone this!! You guys are AWESOME coaches!! I would love to have some more lessons with you someday if we are ever close by.

The seminar was a huge success and everyone keeps telling us how great it was working with you guys. I was talking with one of our 10 year old skaters today and I ask her if she had fun. She said before the seminar she wondered how she would make it all day but by the end of the seminar she thought, "Is it over already?" She said it totally seemed like 1 hour from start to finish. It is really nice to see these guys so happy. THANK YOU! It's also nice to see our Board so excited about the seminar and the results of the seminar."

The G2C seminar was without a doubt, hands-down, the best seminar on the planet!!! The enthusiasm from the skaters is absolutely oozing. The skaters were working so hard at practice today that I had to check to see if I was at the right rink! The Champion Cords were stretching, the Ankle Buzzers were the favored sound of the day and the smiles on the faces were endless.

I can't thank you enough for all you have done for us. The skaters are motivated, full of knowledge and now have the desire to be the best that they can be, all because of G2C! You are the world's best coordinator (Sheila Thelen), the most inspirational mentor and a friend to be favored. Thank you again from all of us, North Dakota loves you!

Missy Theel, Head Pro - Bismarck, ND FSC

I want to thank Audrey and Chris so much for making the workshop at Johnstown yesterday so much fun and educational at the same time. My daughter, Emily Brooks, had so much fun. I hope she gets another opportunity to come again some day. Skating has been my passion for many years, and it is a pleasure for us (Emily & I) to enjoy the sport together. Thank you again for making the day a memorable one for both of us. A job well done - you are the best!!

Sincerely, Sharon Brooks (from Pittsburgh, PA)

The skaters and their parents LOVED the seminar. Everyone was very grateful. The evaluation sheets from the Workshop all had very good things to say. There were no negatives at all, except to say how everyone wanted it to last even longer! I felt the same way.

It was indeed a pleasure to get to know them — I could have spent a whole week and still would have longed for more time to learn. I really felt honored to have hosted this seminar with such top-of-the-line people, and I hope we can have them back again soon. Thanks for everything you did — I would have been lost without [Sheila's] help!

Javann St. Clair, Planet Ice, Certified Program Director/Coach

Dear Audrey & Sheila, Thank you so much for sending the ankle wrap so fast. My students couldn't wait to try it. If I had not been there myself, I would never have believed how fast it improved my skaters' in-air position. McKenna was having a hard time with her triple salchow and she wanted to hear that magic sound so bad and her face lit up when she heard it, then wow, landed the jump too! I had a hard time getting her to take it off when her lesson ended. She looked like I was trying to steal her teddy bear. Gosh, this was just the cure for the middle of January blues... everyone, including myself, can't wait to get back on the ice to see what happens next!

Sandra Johansson, Elk River FSC

Sheila, I have to tell you that I could have written a novel about my experiences with the cords yesterday morning at 6:45am. I was gently reminded of what it takes to be a champion (posture, speed flow extension, technique, position, determination, strength etc.) all by two bungee cords. The problems I have most often with my skaters are lacking extension and stretch in their skating, not keeping the upper body where it should be, and watching the ice. It was great, although humbling, to learn that I could feel all the areas that needed improvement within minutes of using the cords!

Danielle Scully, Skating Director, Indianapolis

Audrey, your G2C technique was so easy to grasp and the most comprehensive "Grassroots to Champions" road to success I have ever seen. It truly is Grassroots to Champions! Nick was and is amazing.
